In 2006 I began working with the Hamilton Library at the University of Hawai'i Manoa to archive a collection of over 1,000 images of Micronesia taken by Margo Duggan while she was an employee of the U.S. Trust Territories Administration beginning in the late 1940's. Karen Peacock and Stuart Dawrs of the University expressed significant enthusiasm for the project and facilitated the donation of the images.
Hamilton Library staff undertook the digitizing and uploading of the images which are now known as The Margo Duggan Collection. The Collection may be viewed in its entirety at:
I continue to make slow progress in preserving and disseminating a set of letters, photos, diary entries and ephemera belonging to the late Fr. John J. O'Leary. These items document his life as an American seminary student at the North American College in Rome from 1920 to 1924.
In 2013 I collaborated with then-editor Justin Blanc to share a portion of the collection. The page below is excerpted from the College's alumni magazine, Roman Echoes.
